Amelia graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s College in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Amelia founded Elite PT in 1993 in Newport Beach, California. In California, as Elite’s reputation grew, the practice developed and expanded to include 4 additional clinics in the Los Angeles area including the prestigious Los Angeles Athletic Club. In January of 2007 Amelia and her husband John relocated to the beach resorts of Lewes and Rehoboth, Delaware, and re-established Elite PT, LLC on the east coast. Since that time the practice has grown with the addition of three partners and two additional locations. Amelia has many years of experience treating athletes at all levels. These include players from the MLB, Oakland Raiders of the NFL, and from professional volleyball teams.
She has also treated PGA golfers, triathletes, cyclists, and dancers, as well as many collegiate and recreational athletes. In addition, Amelia has had the opportunity to treat Hollywood’s elite including many Oscar Award-winning
Amelia is passionate about the comprehensive approach Elite uses with their patients to help each of them achieve their goals and improve their physical health and performance. To ensure that each patient receives this level of treatment, Amelia spends most of her time mentoring Elite’s physical therapists by sharing the expertise and skill that comes with having over 30 years of experience in the industry. She believes that every patient should receive dedicated time with their therapist to truly make a difference in the success of their treatment.
Committed to nurturing the art of physical therapy with innovative ideas and treatment techniques, Amelia has been serving on the University of Delaware’s College of Health Science Advisory Board since 2015 collaborating with other professionals committed to the same level of excellence.

Alieda enjoys applying her general health and wellness expertise to the specific physical therapy program that each patient needs. She is enthusiastic about seeking new techniques, including manual therapy skills, which help find the most efficient path to the best patient results. Her areas of interest are in the spine as well as sports-related injuries.
Christine worked as a nurse in Dialysis for 24 years before relocating to the beach. She started volunteering to make appointments M-W-F mornings with Elite PT in 2009. As the practice grew, she also grew to learn insurance verification and authorizations.
Jim grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned his Bachelors degree in biomedical sciences and Master’s in health and well-being management. As a two-time captain and faceoff specialist for the men’s lacrosse team, Jim finished with 2 Division III national championships, as well as the all-time program record for faceoff wins. Jim earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Tufts University in December 2023, and is excited to work with athletes to facilitate a safe and high-level return to performance on the field.
Jon was raised in central Maryland and earned his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1998. During his early clinical career Jon treated a variety of orthopedic diagnoses and focused his clinical efforts on improving his manual treatment skills. After moving to the Eastern Shore, he transitioned into physical therapy education and developed the physical therapist assistant program at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury, MD. His love of patient care led him to return to treating and to join the Elite PT team in Rehoboth. Jon is excited to use his experience to have a positive impact on the health and well-being of the Rehoboth Beach and surrounding communities.

Kirstin graduated from the University of Delaware in 2017 with a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Strength and Conditioning. She then graduated in December 2019 with her DPT degree. Kirstin played many sports through high school and college, with her main passion being lacrosse. She also has coached women’s lacrosse at the collegiate club and high school varsity level. She is excited to use her coaching skills and knowledge of the sports to help patients return to play and compete at the next level.
Martina was born and raised in Sussex County, Delaware. Martina is the eldest sister of seven siblings, where she learned how to adjust to different personalities and schedules. Martina has worked as a home health aide for about 10 years servicing individuals with mental and physical disabilities as well as the elderly population. Martina transitioned to working in an office setting where she learned the skills to become a Medical Assist and specialize in patient services. Martina is now serving as a receptionist with Elite PT to continue to be a part of her community and help navigate patient’s needs in the office.
Olive is our youngest and spunkiest staff member that specializes in greeting our patients and making sure they have the best experience! You can find her annoying her brother Otis or eating treats in the clinic in her spare time!

Sarah is excited to join the Elite PT team and be a part of the front line of faces that each patient encounters when they walk through our door! She has past experience in the medical facility and enjoys assisting patients in person and on the phone to make their experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. When Sarah is not working, she enjoys spending time with her 3 kids and fiance!
Sarah grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated from the University of Saint Augustine in Florida in August 2023. She is very excited to be able to work with a multitude of diagnoses from post stroke, to post op rotator cuff repairs, to the weekend warrior that hurt their ankle doing the things they love!

Sim attended the University of Delaware where she earned her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Master’s in Anatomy and Clinical Health Sciences, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019. She has quickly grown into a clinical instructor, clinic lead, and specializing in the rapid management of acute orthopedic injuries and return to sport. She grew up playing a variety of sports in New Jersey and was a starting varsity setter for her high school volleyball team, which she helped lead to the state championship her sophomore year. Sim is excited to work with a variety of athletes and individuals to help them reach their highest potential.
Steve was born and raised on Long Island and went on to graduate from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City before becoming a Sporting Goods Buyer. There, his interest in running and anatomy drove him to go back to School. He attended the Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and graduated with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022. Steve looks forward to continuing to learn and perfect his skills while restoring his patient’s function and transforming them into their best selves through a fun and enjoyable PT experience.
