Amelia graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s College in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Amelia founded Elite PT in 1993 in Newport Beach, California. In California, as Elite’s reputation grew, the practice developed and expanded to include 4 additional clinics in the Los Angeles area including the prestigious Los Angeles Athletic Club. In January of 2007 Amelia and her husband John relocated to the beach resorts of Lewes and Rehoboth, Delaware, and re-established Elite PT, LLC on the east coast. Since that time the practice has grown with the addition of three partners and two additional locations. Amelia has many years of experience treating athletes at all levels. These include players from the MLB, Oakland Raiders of the NFL, and from professional volleyball teams.
She has also treated PGA golfers, triathletes, cyclists, and dancers, as well as many collegiate and recreational athletes. In addition, Amelia has had the opportunity to treat Hollywood’s elite including many Oscar Award-winning
actors.
Amelia is passionate about the comprehensive approach Elite uses with their patients to help each of them achieve their goals and improve their physical health and performance. To ensure that each patient receives this level of treatment, Amelia spends most of her time mentoring Elite’s physical therapists by sharing the expertise and skill that comes with having over 30 years of experience in the industry. She believes that every patient should receive dedicated time with their therapist to truly make a difference in the success of their treatment.
Committed to nurturing the art of physical therapy with innovative ideas and treatment techniques, Amelia has been serving on the University of Delaware’s College of Health Science Advisory Board since 2015 collaborating with other professionals committed to the same level of excellence.

Sim attended the University of Delaware where she earned her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Master’s in Anatomy and Clinical Health Sciences, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019. She has quickly grown into a clinical instructor, clinic lead, and specializing in the rapid management of acute orthopedic injuries and return to sport. She grew up playing a variety of sports in New Jersey and was a starting varsity setter for her high school volleyball team, which she helped lead to the state championship her sophomore year. Sim is excited to work with a variety of athletes and individuals to help them reach their highest potential.

Her areas of interest are in the spine as well as sports-related injuries.
Brighton Balas

Brighton is a Sussex Technical High School grad who excelled on the lacrosse field as an attack player. She started as an intern with Elite PT in 2023 and is currently studying at Delaware Technical Community College. Having been a patient here herself, she’s excited to give back and make a difference. Known for her cheerful personality, Brighton brings positivity and dedication to everything she does.
Jack Norwood PT, DPT

Jack was born and raised in Sussex County, DE, and attended Cape Henlopen High School, where he played soccer. He continued his soccer career at Neumann University before earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Alvernia University in 2024. In his professional practice, Jack draws on his own athletic experiences, giving him a deep understanding of the challenges athletes face when recovering from injuries. His empathetic approach allows him to connect with patients on a personal level, motivating them to overcome their limitations and strive for excellence throughout their recovery process.

Jules is a proud graduate of the University of Delaware, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Master’s in Clinical Health Science, and Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She’s excited to be returning to the Rehoboth area from NYC and joining the Elite PT team. Growing up, Jules played both softball and volleyball, and she now combines her athletic background with a CSCS certification to help athletes return to their sport stronger than before. Outside of the clinic, you can find her running, fishing, or reading a book on the beach.
Katie Giles
Kinesiologist
Katie was raised in Rehoboth Beach, DE. She spent six years as an ocean rescue lifeguard where she competed all around the Country. She received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology 2023 from East Carolina University, specializing in health fitness. Since 2020, she has served as a logistics officer in the Army National Guard.  Using her experience in lifeguarding and in the Army, as well as being a stretch practitioner since July 2024 she brings a love for helping others and promoting a healthy lifestyle.  Katie is dedicated to helping others improve their movement, recovery and overall well-being while creating a positive environment. Outside of work, you can find her either at the gym or on the beach.

Kirstin graduated from the University of Delaware in 2017 with a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Strength and Conditioning. She then graduated in December 2019 with her DPT degree. Kirstin played many sports through high school and college, with her main passion being lacrosse. She also has coached women’s lacrosse at the collegiate club and high school varsity level. She is excited to use her coaching skills and knowledge of the sports to help patients return to play and compete at the next level.
Martina Gonzalez

Martina Gonzalez brings over a decade of dedicated experience in the medical field. After earning her Medical Billing degree from the Harris School of Business, she helps bridge the gap between complex insurance policies and patient understanding. Martina takes great pride in mentoring her colleagues through the complexities of insurance benefits, scheduling, and office protocols. A Sussex County local and the eldest of a large family, her natural leadership is rooted in a “people-first” philosophy. Whether she is explaining benefits or streamlining office workflows, she is here to ensure your insurance needs are handled with both professional precision and care. She’s a proud mom who loves traveling to new places, shopping, and catching up with her friends over a home-cooked meal or a night out.

Noel Terry brings more than 22 years of experience in dental insurance to our team. She has built a strong reputation for guiding patients through complex insurance processes with care. In her Administrative Assistant role, she will continue using her expertise to support patient needs.Â
Outside of work, Noel balances life as a devoted wife, mother, and proud grandmother. In her free time, Noel enjoys thrifting and hunting for unique finds. Her love of learning keeps her curious, motivated, and always ready to grow in her career.

Paula Miller

Paula has lived in seven states and now calls Lewes, DE home with her husband and cat. Formerly a Creative Director at an arts and crafts company, she’s brought her flair for design and organization to the front desk at Elite PT. Having been a patient at Elite PT herself, Paula understands the importance of a positive experience. Outside of work, she engages in an active lifestyle with hiking, biking, pickleball, and Mahjong.

A proud graduate of Duquesne University, Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Originally from Lancaster, PA, Tim was a competitive runner, qualifying for the State Championships multiple years and racing at the Penn Relays. He recently relocated to Delaware, where he enjoys fishing, running, and playing pickleball. With a strong interest in orthopedic and vestibular therapy, Tim is excited to bring his passion and dedication to helping his patients live active, fulfilling lifestyles.

Will has over 6 years of experience in the massage therapy field after graduating from the massage school at the Harris School of Business in Dover, Delaware. He passionate about providing customized care that tailors to each individual needs. He leverages his advanced relaxation techniques and exceptional massage skills to offer his clients relief from stress and tension, as well as a much-needed break from their hectic lives. Outside of his career life, Willie enjoys reading and listening to music during his free time. He is also an ardent weight trainer, having learned the science of bodybuilding from his father, Willie “Thomas” Phillips Jr., a retired Delaware correctional officer.
