Amelia J. Knarr PT
Managing Partner / Physical Therapist

Amelia graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s College in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Amelia founded Elite PT in 1993 in Newport Beach, California. In California, as Elite’s reputation grew, the practice developed and expanded to include 4 additional clinics in the Los Angeles area including the prestigious Los Angeles Athletic Club. In January of 2007 Amelia and her husband John relocated to the beach resorts of Lewes and Rehoboth, Delaware, and re-established Elite PT, LLC on the east coast. Since that time the practice has grown with the addition of three partners and two additional locations.
Amelia has many years of experience treating athletes at all levels. These include players from the MLB, Oakland Raiders of the NFL, and from professional volleyball teams. She has also treated PGA golfers, tri-athletes, cyclists, and dancers, as well as many collegiate and recreational athletes. In addition, Amelia has had the opportunity to treat Hollywood’s elite including many Oscar Award-winning actors.
Amelia is passionate about the comprehensive approach Elite uses with their patients to help each of them achieve their goals and improve their physical health and performance. To ensure that each patient receives this level of treatment, Amelia spends most of her time mentoring Elite’s physical therapists by sharing the expertise and skill that comes with having over 30 years of experience in the industry. She believes that every patient should receive dedicated time with their therapist to truly make a difference in the success of their treatment.
Committed to nurturing the art of physical therapy with innovative ideas and treatment techniques, Amelia has been serving on the University of Delaware’s College of Health Science Advisory Board since 2015 collaborating with other professionals committed to the same level of excellence.

Mark Szaroleta PT, DPT
Junior Partner / Physical Therapist

While attending the University of Delaware, Mark completed a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology in 2006 and a doctorate in physical therapy in 2012. Throughout his collegiate experience he had a variety of work experiences including coaching/strength training for Salesianum soccer/basketball, home health aide for an ALS survivor, and working as an exercise technician at Elite PT-Wilmington.
Mark has had many clinical experiences which provided valuable learning opportunities. His acute care experiences occurred on the joint replacement floor at Pennsylvania Hospital and on the pediatric oncology unit at A.I DuPont Hospital. While at Moss Rehab in Philadelphia, he focused on inpatient rehab with pathologies including stroke, amputation, cardiovascular surgery, and joint replacement. In addition to treating a wide variety of patients on his orthopedic rotations, Mark spent many hours shadowing surgical procedures and office visits with multiple orthopedic surgeons in Delaware.

Andrew Rudawsky MS, PT, ATC

Andrew attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio where he was a varsity soccer player all four years. He graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. He went on to earn a Master of Science Degree in Sports Medicine in 1986 at the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama; followed by his Athletic Training Certification in February of 1987. Andrew then pursued and completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware in May of 1990.
Andrew was appointed the Head Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist for the United States Mens’ National Soccer Team in May of 1991. His involvement with the team included the 1994 World Cup hosted in the USA, the 1998 World Cup in France, and the qualifying campaign leading up to the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan.
Prior to joining the Elite PT team, he served as Co-Director at Christiana Care PT Plus at Brandywine from 1994 to 2008. In addition, Andrew has served as the Head Athletic Trainer from Region 1 ODP (Olympic Development Program) from 1985 to 1991; Delaware ODP from 1985 to 1991; Glasgow High School soccer from 1994 to 2001; and William Penn High School from 1990 to 1991. Andrew has also been coaching club soccer for the Concord Soccer Association and Roma adult league soccer from 1984 to 2004.

John F. Knarr MS, PT, ATC

John is a Delaware native and graduate of the University of Delaware’s Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Curriculums. Prior to receiving his physical therapy credentials, John served as the Head Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning coach at Delaware Valley College, Susquehanna University and Delaware State University.
John has traveled the world with numerous sports teams and served as a member of numerous United States Olympic Sports Medicine Staffs including the 1987 Pan American Games and the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta. John has also had the opportunity to work as a member of the medical staffs of the United States Soccer Federation and the U.S. Team Handball Federation. John served as a consultant to both our Men and Women’s National soccer teams. This included both Women’s World Cup games in 1999 and 2001, which were held at the Rose bowl in Pasadena California.

Simranjeet Kaur PT, DPT, MS

Sim attended the University of Delaware where she earned her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Master’s in Anatomy and Clinical Health Sciences, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019. She has quickly grown into a clinical instructor, clinic lead, and specializing in the rapid management of acute sports injuries and return to sport. She grew up playing a variety of sports and was a starting varsity setter for her high school volleyball team, which she helped lead to the state championship her sophomore year. Sim is excited to work with a variety of athletes and individuals to help them reach their highest potential.

Stephen Cole PT, DPT

Steve was born and raised on Long Island and went on to graduate from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City before becoming a Sporting Goods Buyer. There, his interest in running and anatomy drove him to go back to school where he would attend Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia where he would graduate as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2022. Steve looks forward to continuing to learn and perfect his skills while restoring his patient’s function and transforming them into their best selves through a fun and enjoyable PT experience.

Kirstin Redefer PT, DPT, MS

Kirstin graduated from the University of Delaware in 2017 with a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Strength and Conditioning. She then graduated in December 2019 with her DPT degree. Kirstin played many sports through high school and college, with her main passion being lacrosse. She also has coached women's lacrosse at the collegiate club and high school varsity level. She is excited to use her coaching skills and knowledge of the sports to help patients return to play and compete at the next level.

Allyson Meyer PT, DPT

Allyson is originally from Howard County, Maryland, but has been in The South since 2015 completing her undergraduate and graduate education. She is very excited to be back in the northeast working at Elite PT. Allyson attended University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) where she graduated in 2019, receiving her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science. She then went on to attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia to earn for Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2022. Allyson’s passion for physical therapy stems from her love of movement. From athletics and weight lifting to running and Pilates, she’s always on the go! Allyson is excited to start her career at Elite PT and help her patients get back to the best versions of themselves!

Hayes Glanden PT, DPT

Hayes enjoys using advanced manual therapy techniques to address a wide variety of orthopedic and sports injuries. He has ten years of experience treating individuals with just about any goals and ability levels imaginable, from wanting to re-learn how to walk to professional athletes looking to address an injury or improve performance.

Alieda Torres PT, DPT

Alieda enjoys applying her general health and wellness expertise to the specific physical therapy program that each patient needs. She is enthusiastic about seeking new techniques, including manual therapy skills, which help find the most efficient path to the best patient results. Her areas of interest are in the spine as well as sports-related injuries.

Christine worked as a nurse in Dialysis for 24 years before relocating to the beach. She started volunteering to make appointments M-W-F mornings with Elite PT in 2009. As the practice grew, she also grew to learn insurance verification and authorizations

Sherrine Davis
Front-Desk Liaison
Sherrine worked as an Administrative Assistant in Pennsylvania for 18 years. In 2015 she and her husband relocated to Delaware. After six months off to get settled she accepted the position of Front Desk/Receptionist at Elite in March 2016. This has been the perfect position for her excellent Customer Support skills and her Patient Care.

Martina Gonzalez
Receptionist
Martina was born and raised in Sussex County, Delaware. Martina is the eldest sister of seven siblings, where she learned how to adjust to different personalities and schedules. Martina has worked as a home health aide for about 10 years servicing individuals with mental and physical disabilities as well as the elderly population. Martina transitioned to working in an office setting where she learned the skills to become a Medical Assist and specialize in patient services. Martina is now serving as a receptionist with Elite PT to continue to be a part of her community and help navigate patient’s needs in the office.

Mark grew up playing soccer, basketball, and baseball but has gained an appreciation for all recreational activities while treating at Elite PT. He incorporates his training in dry needling and movement analysis to reduce pain and improve his patients' ability to return to their lifestyles.

Erin is a native of Dover, DE whose interest and passion for Physical Therapy originated with her passion for athletics. Erin attended the University of Delaware, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, in 2009, and then went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011. Erin has experience working with a variety of patient populations, ranging from athletes to geriatrics, and as part of the Elite PT team, she especially enjoys being able to use her manual skills and functional dry needling certification to rehabilitate patients.

Kyle graduated from the University of Delaware in 2014 with a degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. He then graduated from Widener University in 2017 earning his doctoral degree in physical therapy. He has experience working with all types of athletes and has worked with the Cleveland Indians major league baseball team. Kyle is an avid runner and has completed several marathons and ultra-marathons. He is a Road Runner Club of America certified running coach and enjoys sharing his knowledge of running and exercise with patients.

Kevin attended Lebanon Valley College where he earned his Bachelor’s in Health Science in 2018 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020. Kevin played a variety of sports through the years including martial arts, track, and field, with focuses on soccer, lacrosse, and ultimate frisbee. His passion for weight lifting and strength and conditioning started in late high school which he continues to pursue to this day. When he’s not in the clinic, you can find him on the ultimate frisbee field, weight training, and spending time with his dog. Kevin has grown in his knowledge of rehabilitation through exercise in conjunction with manual therapy skills and is excited to continue his growth with the variety of experienced individuals surrounding him.

Angela DiMauro
Front-Desk Liaison
Angela DiMauro is the friendly face you see at the Wilmington Clinic’s front desk. She has been employed with Elite PT since 2019. Angela’s administrative skills, attention to detail, and bubbly personality makes her a valuable part of the Elite team. She is so proud of being a part of a team that makes a difference in improving people’s lives. Outside of Elite, Angela is a Wellness Advocate with doTerra Essential Oils, where she passionately promotes the use of essential oils, is an active member of her church, volunteering for many of their initiatives, and being a lovable aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Shelley Golder

Shelley began working for Elite PT in 2017. She loves working at the reception desk at Elite because the patients always make her smile. Shelley attended Mary Washington College majoring in education and human relations. She lived in Annapolis for 15 years where she was Controller for Historic Inns of Annapolis for 14 years. Upon moving back to Delaware, she worked in a medical office as a patient liaison and then front office supervisor for 26 years.

I joined our team in September 2021. She is from Fredericksburg, VA, where she worked 13 years at Mary Washington Healthcare as a patient registrar and insurance verifier. During her free time she loves to hike, spend time with her cats and dogs, and plan Disney trips with her husband.

Kristen was voted the Best Physical Therapist, Readers' Choice Upstate in 2020 for Delaware Today's very prestigious Best of Delaware Award.

Andy is a Wilmington native and graduated from West Chester University with a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training degree in 2011, where he worked with the university’s football and track and field teams. In 2017, he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Widener University. As part of his DPT degree, Andy completed a clinical rotation with the Phillies spring training in Clearwater, FL. Throughout PT school, he continued to work as an athletic trainer at Widener and with the 12U and 15U USA National Baseball teams. He continues to work as an athletic trainer with MOT Football and St. Andrew’s High School in Middletown, DE. Andy enjoys combining his athletic training experience and his manual therapy training to help patients achieve their peak potential.

Catherine "Cat" AMey PT, DPT

Catherine has been in the physical therapy practice for over 12 years. She began her career as a Physical Therapist Assistant working in an outpatient physical therapy clinic as well as an outpatient pediatric setting. During those 10 years, Catherine received her bachelor’s degree in Science from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Catherine then pursued and completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of St Augustine Austin, Texas. Catherine enjoys working with a variety of patients integrating manual skills with exercise to allow her patients to regain mobility and return to full function. Catherine is an avid sports fan, having played soccer, basketball, and softball. She has also coached cross country, soccer, and basketball.

Hayley Andrzejewski

Hayley graduated from West Chester University. She is a certified cycle instructor and has an active aging certification. She takes great pride in providing exquisite customer service. During her free time Hayley stays active by running, cycling, and teaching classes at the HAC. She enjoys relaxing in Stone Harbor, NJ as well as working in her garden. Hayley is a member of St. Marys of Assumption church.

Nayra Reyes is one of the friendly faces you will find at our Hockessin location. Nayra has worked in the healthcare industry for the past six years. During her free time she enjoys working out at the HAC as well as playing with her dog Peanut. Nayra is always up for trying new things.

Lisa Osterlof
H.R. Director
Lisa Osterlof is the Human Resources Operations Manager for Elite PT. She has been a member of the Elite PT team for the past 7.5 years. Lisa brings a career of management experience to her role at Elite PT. A native of Northern New Jersey, her husband’s corporate relocation brought Lisa and their family to Delaware 26 years ago. While Lisa has spent 27 years working in corporate positions, she much prefers and loves working for a smaller, more intimate environment, like Elite PT offers. Lisa very much enjoys working in the medical field where she feels she can make a more positive contribution. Lisa is very family-oriented and Elite PT offers the flexibility for her to be able to travel to visit her family in Santa Monica, CA. Lisa has 2 sons with 2 lovely daughters-in-law as well as 4 grandchildren who keep her young at heart.

Jennifer more
Insurance Specialist
Jennifer started as a patient in 2018 and joined the Front Desk Team in February of 2020. She became a full-time Front Desk Liaison and Insurance Benefits Specialist in March of 2021. She attended the University of Delaware majoring in History with a Journalism Concentration. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and photography in her spare time. She loves getting to know the patients and assists in keeping a friendly and courteous atmosphere at the Front Desk.
