Andrew
“Rudy” Rudawsky, MS, PT, ATC
Andrew was born and raised in Wilmington,
Delaware, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Rudawsky. He
graduated from Wilmington Friends School in 1980
where he was a First Team All-State selection in
soccer.
Andrew attended Denison University in Granville,
Ohio where he was a varsity soccer player all
four years. He graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in Biology. He went on to earn a
Master of Science Degree in Sports Medicine in
1986 at the United States Sports Academy in
Daphne, Alabama; followed by his Athletic
Training Certification in February of 1987. He
then pursued and completed his Bachelor of
Science degree in Physical Therapy from the
University of Delaware in May of 1990.
Andrew was appointed the Head Athletic
Trainer/Physical Therapist for the United States
Mens’ National Soccer Team in May of 1991. His
involvement with the team included the 1994
World Cup hosted in the USA, the 1998 World Cup
in France, and the qualifying campaign leading
up to the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan.
Prior to joining the Elite PT team, he served as
Co-Director at Christiana Care PT Plus at
Brandywine from 1994 to 2008.
In addition, Andrew has served as the Head
Athletic Trainer from Region 1 ODP (Olympic
Development Program) from 1985 to 1991; Delaware
ODP from 1985 to 1991; Glasgow High School
soccer from 1994 to 2001; and William Penn High
School from 1990 to 1991. Andrew has also been
coaching club soccer for the Concord Soccer
Association and Roma adult league soccer from
1984 to 2004.
Andrew currently resides in Garnet Valley,
Pennsylvania where he is happily married to
former track Olympian Vicki Huber. They have two
children Alyssa and Christian.
James K. Hashimoto, MPT, ATC
“Hash” as he is known by most, earned his
Bachelor's of Science Degree in Health Science
along with his Athletic Training Certification
from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania. This
was followed by his Master's Degree in Physical
Therapy from the University of Delaware.
Hash has had the opportunity to work and develop
his expertise in a variety of professional
environments prior to joining the Elite PT team.
Most
recently, Hash held the position of Co-Site
Manager along with Rudy Rudawsky for Christiana
Care PT Plus at Brandywine from 1995 to 2008.
In addition Hash has had the honor to serve as
the Head Athletic Trainer for the U.S. Men’s
National Soccer Team from 1998 to 2008. Previous
to this he served as the Assistant Athletic
Trainer under then Head Trainer Rudy Rudawsky
from 1995 to 1998. During his tenure with the
U.S. team he participated in three FIFA World
Cups: 1998 Coupe du Monde in France; 2002 Korea
& Japan, where the team had it’s most successful
showing ever advancing to the quarterfinals; and
most recently 2006 in Germany.
Internationally, Hash has had the opportunity to
serve as a consultant and Head Athletic Trainer
for the Saudi Arabian National Soccer Team from
1994-1995. This included the 1994 FIFA World Cup
that was hosted in the USA, followed by a
championship in the 1995 Gulf Cup that was held
in the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East.
In 2006 and 2007 Hash had the pleasure of
working as the personal physical therapist for
then world ranked number two professional tennis
player Maria Sharapova. During this time she was
successful at winning her second Grand Slam
title at the 2006 U.S. Open.
Other professional experiences include
involvement with the U.S. Olympic Training
Centers in both Chula Vista and Colorado
Springs; teaching experiences at Delaware
Technical and Community College and the
University of Delaware; and work with other
various organizations including the Life Rolls
On foundation which strives to provide hope and
is an advocate on behalf of young people whose
lives have been affected by spinal cord injury
(SCI).
Hash continues his involvement with U.S. Soccer
and the Men’s National Team, as well as with
various professional athletes as a consultant.
