Kelly Hess, DPT, SCS
Kelly grew up in Pennsylvania and played soccer for FC DELCO through high school. She attended Messiah College in Grantham, PA for undergraduate education where she played varsity soccer and received her B.A. in Sports and Exercise Science. She furthered her education at Duke University, graduating with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006.
Upon graduating, Kelly worked at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Sports Clinic in Winston-Salem, NC where she gained experience in treating a variety of sports injuries.
Kelly spent the next 4 years at Duke Sports Medicine Physical Therapy in Durham, NC. While working at Duke Sports Medicine, Kelly developed and implemented a soccer outreach program to local youth soccer clubs. The outreach program included rehabilitation for injured players, medical coverage for local soccer tournaments, sports performance training, injury prevention and education for players, parents and coaches.
Clinically, Kelly enjoys treating a variety of sports and orthopedic injuries especially in the youth soccer player. She also has an interest in lower extremity injury prevention and sports performance. Kelly is credentialed as a Sports Certified Specialist by the APTA, is certified both in the Graston Technique as well as the Functional Movement Screen.
